Peng Yu-Tzu (b. 1996, Taiwan)Peng’s practice centers on a "folded perspective of painting," exploring the logic of materializing pictorial space through fragmentation, ruptures, and non-continuous structures. She perceives fragmentation not as a state of negation, but as a site of potential for transformation and reconfiguration. In her work, deconstruction and reconstruction serve as vital strategies that propel the evolution of her visual language.
White functions as a primary medium to unveil the internal states of her paintings, bringing tactile textures and fractal structures into sharp relief. Her works gradually manifest as a kind of "phantasm"—a subtle, shifting climate suspended between reality and fiction.
In recent years, building upon her painterly inquiry, Peng has incorporated soft materials such as fabric and embroidery. This shift translates the spatial and gestural concerns inherent in painting into a more tactile, time-based, and fluid mode of practice, further extending the boundaries of her sensory exploration.

Flicker centers on the assembly of fragments, treating images as dual carriers of memory and material. Through displacement, translation, and reconfiguration, established categories dissolve into associations. This exhibition serves as a metaphor for "looking"—where meaning exists not in fixed coordinates, but in the spaces between rupture and reassembly. Like following a trail of breadcrumbs, viewers navigate a non-linear path through uncertainty.

Starwater is more than a poetic image of nature; it is a fragment of spatial glare. Inspired by the indigenous meaning of "swamp"—water like stars—this exhibition seeks to summon imaginings of vision and existence through the displacement of language. The works extend the concepts of "fractals" and "folding," where brushstrokes are no longer continuous gestures but kinetic trajectories formed by intermittent steps. Between each glimmer of light and hesitant stroke, a walkable depth emerges within the two-dimensional plane, delineating a soft landscape of sensory disappearance amidst fragmentation.

Is the mark left by the brush an end, or a continuation of thought? Viewing painting as a "generative action," this exhibition weaves memory and emptiness into fluid nodes of existence, redefining the relationship between creation and observation through the lens of the unfinished.

In this exhibition, I attempt to translate my thought processes into a visual language. Through dismantling, juxtaposition, and defamiliarization, I seek to evoke a reading path of "practicing getting lost." I have constructed a sentimental image database, weaving together collected symbols and emotional vestiges—not to establish hierarchy, but to reveal the subtle, intricate construction of thought.
To me, this is a willful image diary where I seek unity within fragmentation. I invite you to follow these "breadcrumb" clues and navigate through suspended categories alongside me.

What supports the emergence of "sensation"? This exhibition explores the elusive "phantasms" that envelop both body and vision like a thick mist. Here, painting does not merely represent; it reserves a place for the intangible, bridging the gap between lived experience and the imaginary.

The canvas begins as an unfolded void; every crease and stroke is a cartography of forces. Through a folded perspective, I deconstruct matter—creating a "phantasm" akin to a climate: subtle, restless, and existing entirely within its own spatial depth.

This exhibition explores the convergence of matter, body, and spatiotemporal dimensions, tracing how objects interweave and create tension through "movement." Across the trajectories of material transformation and conceptual appropriation, the rhythm of speed and transition reshapes our understanding of existence. We invite viewers to venture toward these metaphorical spaces, witnessing the genesis of a dynamic field through a fluid dialogue of meaning.

In Japanese, "Kara" signifies both "emptiness" (空) and "nothingness" (無). An eggshell defines two distinct spaces: the interior and the exterior. Yet, if the egg is hollow, how can we truly know? We are left to imagine the space within solely through the form of the shell—even if it is a "Kara no Ran" (The Empty Egg).
Emptiness is a state that encompasses both being and non-being, affirmation and negation. Much like the number "0," which pivots between positive and negative, nothing in this world exists in absolute terms. This exhibition explores the boundaries of the shell, navigating the fluid reality that resides within the void.

Rotting Stones and Withered Seas subverts the narrative of eternity, using the desolation of an apocalyptic landscape to allegorize our volatile world. I view creation as a form of spiritual exile; amidst the hallucinatory loss and conscious disturbances of the digital age, I employ material experimentation and formal restructuring to delineate the contours of life at the blurred fringes of reality.
To me, the absent body and fragmented history await reclamation through intellect and perception. Within the darkness of extremes, I utter my existence through a "folded" painterly language—tracing a romantic trajectory back to the humanistic spirit, navigating the threshold between the visible and the invisible.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
